Quickstart: Cases
Section titled “Quickstart: Cases”Cases is the app you build in the Quickstart: a Blazor Server app for support cases. Its agent reads the status of a case whenever it needs to, and adds a note to a case only after you confirm.
- Download: mentoragent-quickstart.zip (external site)
- Channel: Blazor Server, with every page interactive
- Packages:
Novior.MentorAgentandMicrosoft.Extensions.AI.OpenAI - What it shows: an action the agent calls freely, an action it runs only after you confirm, the model connection and the chat widget
- What you need: the .NET 10 SDK and an OpenAI API key
The zip holds a Cases folder with Program.cs, CaseService.cs, the Blazor components, a README.md and the license. From that folder, store your OpenAI key in user secrets, then start the app:
dotnet user-secrets init
dotnet user-secrets set OpenAI:Key <your-key>
dotnet runOpen the app, open the widget and type: "Add a note to case C-1: documents received". The agent asks you to confirm before it adds the note. To use Azure OpenAI or a local model instead, see Model providers.
Tutorial
Section titled “Tutorial”The tutorial extends the same Cases app in four steps: actions, roles and confirmation, a specialist agent, and a team. Each step shows its code on the page. The finished code of each step is not available as a download yet.
